Here at BeFibre, we’re passionate about creating a positive impact and forging meaningful relationships in the areas in which we operate. It’s not just about being able to offer game-changing broadband speeds either. We believe in the importance of having a presence in the areas we service, while also being able to answer residents’ questions large or small. Find out more about some of the community initiatives we’ve helped with, to date…
Support for the British Red Cross DEC Ukraine Appeal – March 2022
Back in April 2022, we played our part in the collective, humanitarian effort to help our Ukrainian friends in need at the Brentwood concert, hosted by the British Red Cross Appeal.
Over £17,000 was raised from the event, which was also supported by Brentwood Council and Everyone Active.
Clacton Air Show sponsorship – August 2022 and 2023
Looking back to last August, BeFibre was pleased to be one of the main sponsors for the long-standing Clacton Air Show. We sponsored one of the flights that took place on the day and our community engagement team was on hand to speak to residents about our rollout plans within the local area. We are also delighted to announce that we will also be sponsoring this year’s show too.

Moving into Skelmersdale, we are the proud sponsors of Clay Brow FC under 7’s and under 9’s training kits and winter coats — managers too!
Brentwood Central Boxing Club – September 2022

Worcester Pride – October 2022
In October 2022, BeFibre was proud to be the main sponsor of Worcester Pride. Our community engagement team had a presence at the event, speaking to residents about their queries — we also participated in the main parade on the day!
Nantwich primary schools – Dec 2022
Back in 2022, BeFibre’s sponsorship also saw us purchase a variety of books for the pupils of Highfields Primary School and Nantwich Academy to help update the libraries for both schools.
Helping families and schools at Christmas – December 2022
In December last year, BeFibre was pleased to have been able to help a trio of food banks in some of our build areas. For the food banks in Skelmersdale and Hattersley, our community engagement helped to donate food to the centres for families in need. Additionally, we also provided funds to Oundle Volunteer Action, which enabled the charity to provide Christmas dinner for 30 families in the local area.
Moving up north to St Andrews, we were delighted to have sponsored the Christmas fair in the local area back in 2022. Back in Heswall, we donated over £500 for Heswall Primary School which was used for the school’s Christmas fair and raffle prizes. For Barnston Primary School, we also donated 200 selection boxes for the children for Christmas and also sponsored the production of a fundraising calendar for 2023 for parents to purchase.
Back down south, our community engagement team supported the local volunteer action team in Oundle to help prevent loneliness and improve the lives of local people. BeFibre also funded part of the Christmas dinner for over 30 residents alongside local suppliers.
Shiloh Charity – December 2022
Alongside our sister company, Digital Infrastructure, we’re pleased to continue our work with Shiloh Charity — a supportive place for those facing homelessness in the Rotherham area. In December 2022, our teams helped to gather content for their shoebox appeal, we’re pleased to say that we collected a total of 250 boxes across both organisations which were then passed on to the charity. As part of our support towards the welfare organisation, we continually help to raise awareness for the donation of funds to the charity’s JustGiving page, as well as support them with donations of clothing.
Shorefields School – Feb 2023
BeFibre continues to have an ever-increasing presence in the area of Clacton-On-Sea, which is why we have recently extended our support to Shorefields School — a special needs institution which provides learning and therapies for 149 students, aged between 3-19, that have a complex and profound range of learning needs.
We pledged a donation which helped towards the purchase of a sensory kit for the school — which includes a range of both stimulating and calming objects – designed to enhance the learning experience for all students.
Harold Hill Food Bank – March 2023
Back in March this year, our community engagement manager Nicola Bull, regional sales manager Harrison Lee, and sales director Martin Smith, attended Harold Hill Food Bank’s volunteer day to support the initiative and bag food items for families in need.
Our supportive trio also went shopping on the day to top up the donations the food bank receives. They spent the afternoon learning more about the hard work that goes into running and maintaining the local food centre.
Harold Hill FC – March 2023
Back to Harold Hill, we’re further supporting the football teams within our build areas. Our sponsorship for Harold Hill FC will see BeFibre support the club with funds for home and away kits for three of its teams, including one home sports kit.
The club currently plays within the Essex Olympia Football League and has been running as a community football club since 1947.
Bramley Sunnyside FC – May 2023
Hot on the heels of announcing Bramley as one of our latest build locations, we’ve reinforced our commitment to the local community by sponsoring its under 13s football club, Bramley Sunnyside Juniors.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the club’s development, we also sponsored all specialist trophies on the awards day, and donated towards the raffle prize.
Ross-On-Wye Church – May 2023
We started selling our full fibre broadband in Ross-On-Wye earlier this year. And what better way to support the community than to offer our services to the local church, a place where so many residents gather regularly?
St Mary’s Church — which also serves the local parish — now has a years’ free broadband courtesy of BeFibre. The church and its hall is used by community groups, schools and clubs every day of the week so their new full fibre connection will be put to good use!

Bamford Scouts Flower sale – May 2023
Whether we’re donating vital funds to help a local initiative, or we’re sponsoring a large-scale event, no cause is too big or small. That’s why our community engagement team recently attended the Bamford Scouts Flower Sale in Rochdale .
BeFibre sponsored the sale of all hanging baskets over the weekend, and the representatives were on hand to speak to residents about our full fibre network.
Barnston Primary School summer fayre – May 2023

Kirkby Town JFC – July 2023
Back to grassroots football, we recently funded the kit of one of Kirkby Town JFC’s youth teams. Although we’re not currently offering broadband services within this area, the club is local to the BeFibre and Digital Infrastructure headquarters, so holds a special place in our hearts.
Brentwood Eels – July 2023
As main sponsors of the club’s website and YouTube channel, we’re proud to be working with the diverse rugby league club, Brentwood RLFC.
The Brentwood Eels were established in 2004 and they are the only premier club in the south east to offer primary, youth and adult rugby league playing opportunities, with aspirations to grow the ladies, wheelchair and masters (35+) teams.

Cardishead Sports Club – July 2023
Formed in 1974 as a football club for local boys and girls in Irlam, Cardishead and surrounding areas. BeFibre is proud to also be supporting Cardishead JFC with its home and away kits. Brentwood Family Fun Days – August 2023
As one of the initial build areas on our rollout map, we’re pleased to continue supporting the community of Brentwood and having a presence within the local area. We are supporting four of Brentwood’s family fun days which also included various local clubs to come together to showcase the activities available for the local adults and children within the community.
Maltby Main FC – Aug 2023
With 16 teams and growing, our community engagement team is pleased to announce that BeFibre is also supporting Maltby Main JFC under 17s with the club’s home and away kit for the 2023/24 season.
